Just because we deal with pipes and ducts all day doesn’t mean we don’t have a tender side. Albuquerque Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling wants you to have a truly special Valentine’s Day. Romance can be subjective, so here are a few different options to help you plan something wonderfully romantic.
The Up and Away
Albuquerque is the home to one of the biggest hot air balloon festivals in the world. If your special someone has never been up in one, this is the perfect time to make it happen. Albuquerque Hot Air runs year round. But if you’re not up “for going up” in the colder weather, a gift certificate for a later date will still get the romantic job done.
Dinner and a movie is a time honored way to show some love. But it doesn’t have to be boring. Put a fresh spin on this old-school date by having dinner at Vernon’s Speakeasy followed by a show at KiMo Theatre.
The Eco Option
Since Valentine’s Day falls right in the middle of the week this year, consider taking your loved one the weekend before/after for a stay at the very cool Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm. They have special winter rates right now and the restaurant is farm to table perfection.
Take your main squeeze up the longest aerial tram in the country. The Sandia Peak Tramway is a solid choice for beautiful views and a classic Albuquerque experience. Have lunch or dinner before or after your ascent at Sandiago’s. It’s located right at the base of the peak but still offers tremendous views of the city.
The Honorable Mentions
Some other romantic locales in the Albuquerque area are Hotel Andaluz (Moroccan inspired and very dreamy), La Crêpe Michel (French food always seems more romantic), and Casa Rondena Winery (they have lots of cool events coming up).
On behalf of our team at Albuquerque Plumbing, we wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day!
