Get Excited for Easter in Albuquerque!

Easter-in-Albuquerque

There is something special about springtime, and Easter celebrations and activities are a great way to welcome the new season. Let us help you Get Excited for Easter in Albuquerque!

The weather is getting warmer, the flowers are starting to bloom, and soon the Easter Bunny will be here. Albuquerque Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling wants you to get the most out of the holiday so here is a list of fun, unique, and delicious things to do that day.

  • Start your day at the ABQ BioPark Zoo. Their annual Spring Fling Enrichment will take place on April 1st from 9:30-11:30am. Animals are given species-appropriate enrichments which include papier-mache chicks and bunnies, tissue paper flowers and other fun spring-themed items. Animals like to have fun too, and watching them enjoy their spring treats will also be fun for you.
  • Celebrate the arrival of spring the Native American way. Many of the Indian Pueblos in the area will be doing traditional dances on Easter weekend. It’s the perfect time to learn more about the heritage and history of our region. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center website has more information. They recommend calling ahead to confirm times and if the dance is open to the public.
  • An Easter feast is usually high on the list of things to do. There are several restaurants around town that do a special Easter brunch. We are partial to the one at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown. Reservations are available from 10:30a-2:30p and besides the delicious food there are goodies, prizes, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. At 11:15a and 1:15p, there will be egg hunts for the kids. To book your spot call them at 505-349-2520.
  • Of course egg hunts are always a main attraction and Los Ranchos has a great one. This year it will be held on Saturday, March 31st. Kids will be divided into age groups and afterward they can meet the Easter Bunny. It starts promptly at 10, so grab your basket and get ready to roll through the grass on an epic egg search.

No matter what you decide to do we hope your holiday is filled with fun, friends, and family. Now let’s Get Excited for Easter!
