Fun For The Family In The 505

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems that the fun has been sucked out of 2020. Are you feeling the same way? Thanks to COVID, people were and still are quarantined at home, only leaving for essentials. But you can only keep an animal in captivity for so long. Are you and your family getting out and enjoying fresh air? If you haven’t gone out in the last few months, let us help you find stuff to do outside of the house, so you don’t go stir crazy.

Get Outside

If you’re an outdoorsy type of person, hiking is a great choice. Where can you go? Well, we have the Sandia Mountains (obviously), and we have the Petroglyph National Monument on the westside. Don’t forget to go further west and hike at the extinct volcanoes!

How about a leisurely stroll at the Albuquerque BioPark and Zoo! Check out the different bugs (if you’re into that sort of thing) and the various plants at the Botanic Garden. Or visit our oceanic friends, like the otters, in the Aquarium. You can pet stingrays and hold starfish before eventually making your way to the large containment with our other aquatic pals, such as sharks and fish of all sizes. This particular part of the Aquarium sparks wonder in just about every child that lays their eyes upon it.

Go Sightseeing

If you’re a fan of the show, Breaking Bad, then you probably know that our city offers a tour for the worldwide sensation. On the tour you can see attractions such as Walter White’s house, Jesse Pinkman’s apartment, and even Los Pollos Hermanos, which is actually a Twisters restaurant here in the Duke City. You can contact the company who offers the tours, or you could save some money and take yourself for a drive around town and look for the iconic locations.

Remember To Wear Your Mask And Socially Distance

Whatever you decide to do to get out of the house and regain your sanity, the team with Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling asks that you remember to wear your masks and to practice social distancing. We don’t want you to have to extend your quarantine and miss out on all the fun that can still be had this year.
